Abstract
This review examines how generative AI and natural language processing are transforming human creativity, authorship, and linguistic expression through human–machine collaboration. It explores the ethical and conceptual implications of AI-assisted creativity, arguing that AI is increasingly evolving from a tool into a creative partner.
Methods
The study uses a systematic literature review to synthesize research from linguistics, digital humanities, media studies, and AI ethics. It analyzes theoretical and empirical studies to examine how AI influences creativity, authorship, linguistic identity, and ethical responsibility.
Results
The review identifies three major trends: the growing acceptance of AI as a creative collaborator, increasing ethical concerns regarding authorship, bias, and accountability, and the emergence of hybrid forms of expression that combine human and AI-generated content. These findings suggest that creativity is becoming a distributed and co-constructed process shaped by both human judgment and AI capabilities.
Conclusions
The study concludes that generative AI does not replace human creativity but transforms it into a collaborative process requiring shared responsibility and transparent authorship. It emphasizes the need for updated ethical frameworks, AI literacy, and further empirical research to better understand the evolving relationship between humans and AI in creative work.
