Aims & Scope

Modern medical ecosystems are experiencing a rapid transformation driven by decentralized systems, sensory technology, and machine intelligence. This Special Issue explores the vital intersections of Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Internet of Medical Things (IoMT), and Blockchain network frameworks to address fundamental bottlenecks in contemporary public healthcare infrastructure.

AI provides the predictive engine required for diagnostic precision and adaptive pharmacokinetics. Simultaneously, IoMT continuous monitoring wearables yield high-fidelity, real-time biometric streams. However, these systems face chronic architectural vulnerabilities regarding continuous telemetry compliance, data interception risks, and malicious firmware manipulation.

Integrating decentralized cryptographic Ledgers (Blockchain) provides an immutable, auditable, and end-to-end data provenance layer to secure confidential health registries. By bringing these paradigms together, this Special Issue aims to accelerate the transition from static, generalized medical therapies toward highly responsive, secure, decentralized, and patient-centric automated drug delivery systems.

Aims and Objectives
  • To curate breakthrough methodologies unifying edge computing, sensory IoMT arrays, and automated pharmaceutical mechanisms.
  • To introduce tamper-resistant decentralized security layers protecting consumer biomedical registries during remote triage.
  • To highlight novel machine learning architectures capable of guiding closed-loop transdermal or localized micro-dosage therapeutics.

Prof. Engr. Dr. S M Nazmuz Sakib is a multidisciplinary researcher, author, and inventor.
